Whats everyone's thoughts on the smiling friends designs? They feel more varied/creative

It kind of depends for me honestly. I'm not really triggered by them, I think the style can work in some situations but it does get rather stale after a while. Definitely overused. Cartoon Network needs a shot of originality pronto.

Since this thread is probably going to wind up being pretty predictable, what does /ic/ think of the art style of Smiling Friends, and how it contrasts to CalArts style?
