I think people in gerneral are bad at critques because they get caught in roasting the recevier than whine like children when people don't listen to them.

A good critique is one that offers sound advice to the people receiving it above all else. You have to be direct, but not hostle in the manner you're speaking to them. If you find yourself sounding too harse use the' sandwich technique to get your point across.

>praise what they did well
>point out what need work on.
>offer solutions for how they can improve it

>>6665503 for example has a habit of posting their comic with the guidelines still the character, and it makes their look unappealing.

Now if I were to just lay into them by going:
>you couldn't even be fucked to erase the guidelines, this is peak begshit smfh.

Ormand anon and everyone reading that would just go damn 'wow pinkanon is such a fucking bitch.' and other things because though the observation is correct the tone is needlessly hostel and make the whole thing devolve into an internet argument.(im not perfect and still get shit when I do this wrong)

Instead, I would tell them:
>I understand that you are a beginner artist, but I think your work would be improved if you were to use the grace period that GM gives us during the posting period to polish your work to the best of your ability.

See? I offered a workable solution that takes into account this anon situation and it comes off as more agreeable overall.

I hope this helps.
