>How do you measure (i:e not sight-size) proportions when you're doing poses at different angles?
You just memorize the proportions, e.g. you know that the elbows roughly reach the ribcage, the height of a person is 7/8 heads, etc. You can draw an ellipse to guessimate the rotation of an arm, there are a few things you can do but it's mostly visual memory especially with heavy foreshortening where the limbs are hard to measure.
