Gents, I'm a welding student with probably zero artistic ability and yet I want to try my hand at drawing. I came across some of Otto Dix's work and I just couldn't stop looking at it, I just loved how he turned everyday things or even things that should be considered beautiful ugly. How do I learn how to draw like that? The sticky said to start off by copying the picasso picture, what if I start by copying Otto Dix drawings and prints? The drawings from Der Krieg had a particular effect on me, I want to do drawing the way he did about my deployments, life in the military and the aimless drifting I did all over the West Coast and Pacific Northwest in the months after I got out of the military
