pic related is my reference. You can see that it's not possible for a coyote to get up there and i'd like to keep it as realistic as possible. I considered adding some birds that are native to monument valley, but the rocks are so massive that you couldn't even see them.

Good point. There is a strip of mountains in the reference photo, that I tried to include in my painting, but it is hard to see. Perhaps i'll try to define it more, but i'm feeling done with it.

I guess it's not very exiting, but that's not really the point of landscapes in my opinion.

I would also like to let it be known that I didn't do any tracing, and I don't think I ever merged the images either. I used two monitors, one with the original, and the other with my painting. You can see that the scale of the land on the right is off.
