I still like him. It's interesting to see how success and fame starts to eat away at people. He always kind of came of like a likely sociopath to me even going back to the Israel days, and in spite of that he seems to have a generally good scents of how to do the right thing. i originally got into them through the Ethan and Hila channel tho and they pretty much abandoned that shit. They probably obsess way too much about not putting out trash and then they don't put out anything, and that's annoying I guess.

it's acktually a graphite transfer. One of the last ones. One of the first paintings that I tried doing from scratch whilst streaming with an active audience of some random kids that I had played pubg with, so the whole "fuck drawing let's just trace this onto the canvas shit real quick" thing was done hastily and stuff. And then it was abandoned in favor of trying to make a painting of a galaxy using a kitchen sponge.

>But, this is really balancing a fine line where you can read anything into everything if you want on the one hand,
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. This is my dream; this is my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor, and surviving.
>In my opinion the "blank canvas for eyes because he has no soul" is just tying two acctidental circumstances together and calling it art.
wabi sabi brah
>You gather that the eyes dont really need paint cause the canvas is white anyway and "oh" it kind of fits with the "no soul" thing, "let's call it intentional".
Happy little accidents. That's the magic of production.
>I think in most cases you need to be very deliberate for it to have a profound impact on someone
idk if I learned anything from the Van Gogh museum, it's that you can fill out a place and make anything "profound" when you explain it enough on the wall next to it.
>and to do that you need to have something special, something that makes people go "damn, that is exactly how that is".
idk I kind of enjoy a bit of ambiguity. Like the eye thing on Top Cruise is also accompanied by the brush hairs from manically destroying a brush on the background and stuff. You can see it getting did on around https://youtu.be/45GkUiuRmjM?t=1352
>something that adds, not just correlates.
idk honestly I wasn't necessarily planning on keeping the eye blank canvas until after people I showed it to said that was an interesting part unsolicited.
>The blank canvas only correlates with the "blank" eyes, it does nothing to convey an insight or a inspired dimension of understanding of the blank eyes
seems kind of like semantics at this point. It's not like the blank eyes are hurting the piece, while they do offer a comfy talking point about it. Kind of thing money launderers would probably be all about.
