Japanese politics is more complex then conservative win therfore japanese support conservative views. Why that is the case has a lot to do with how the democratic party is put in place, the number of elderly population and how the youth is completly uninterested in politics in general. But yeah most japanese aren't right wing or left wing...they are just apolitical. Pretty much how they go to the temple yet aren't religious. Japanese don't think like westerners do and comparing it to western countries just doesn't work.
