Are there any solid books on who to write/draw a good comic strip? Trying to google advice leads to a lot of Wikihow-tier shit, or advice from esteemed nu-comic artists like Owlturd and Sarah Andersen.

Artists who have patreon, I have a payout question. Do they make you fill out the W-9 form before allowing you to take payout? It looks scary.

I mean I've been here since /ic/ was added but I don't remember it ever being 'good'. I mean at least now we have generals, which has done a lot to make it easier to actually post your work and get feedback, especially for beginners.

Most of this thread is people saying "get rid of things I don't like", or basically trying to conjure a huge active userbase /ic/ just doesn't have.

I do agree we need a much better sticky with updated resources and a suggestion to check out the generals before making a new thread to post your work.

Beginner here. I've been reading Scott Robertson who argues against using an eraser and seems to prefer the use of pens over pencils. Is this sound advice? If I want to improve faster am I better off skipping pencils?
