Just don't feel envy.
It's that simple.

I have never felt envy, when I see people who have things I don't freak out like a woman. I think "man... that'd be cool" and that's it.

If it's extremely important, I will work towards it. I don't want to be sitting at the top, I just want to be good enough. And anyone can become good enough at anything.

Maybe even top 1% of ONE thing, but not of all things. So choose wisely. An envious mind is the opposite of wise, so learn to deal with your teenager emotions before deciding on what to do with a lifetime of hard work just to one-up real teenagers.

Spend 10~15 minutes thumbnailing your ideas and you'll save yourself hours of compositional troubleshotting.

Spend 30 minutes making a colorsketch as well.

Stop punishing yourself for not drawing. Instead, draw whenever you feel guilty, as a declaration to yourself that you care.
Unless there is something really important and that you can't postpone. But those events are not very common and don't take all of your free time, so learn to spot when you're running away.

DJT is the blind leading the blind and I still learned Japanese better than I would have on any random language school.

Channers are far from being ideal teachers, but we're a way better option than uncountable traps that lie around everywhere, like hugboxes, shitty art courses, etc.

That being said, there are always better options if you know where to look. But they generally involve a lot of money.
As far as self-learning for free goes, if you follow what /ic/ recommends, you are bound to make it. The issue being that 1% of people here will stick to the program without a mentor or something of this sort holding their hands.
