Yeah I know I thought I responded about it. Thought it was great. And it's true. But then it becomes a self-defeating rule for awhile. Like I had been fucking with black paint like an asshole from the first painting, but I only really did that shit by accident until pic related. For all the ones after that black paint became a thing I would start doing when I got annoyed or frustrated.

Like, seriously do you paint a lot? How long do you spend working on your underlines? idk any painters irl that don't use grids, graphite, projection, or whatever else if that's the aesthetic they're working on.

are you familiar with van gogh's peasant paintings? And "visually assaulting" when it comes to pictures of people cringing and recoiling and sighing and stuff doesn't necessarily feel like a bad criticism to me.

a lot of them are kind of painted to be marketed to bars to hang over urinals so people stare at weird funny judgmental faces while they piss. Urinal portraits are the future.

post your work. post all the work you didn't do because it would have been a "waste." How much demand is there for all your observational drawings?
