A follow up for this: I screwed around with the lineart a bit, mostly simplifying and exaggerating to get a more anime look.

I might have gone too far with the exaggerating, but I think it's going in the right direction-- if I give her hair and clothes the same treatment and cut down on a lot of the unnecessary details it should help a lot.

That texture is just a temporary thing-- it's supposed to be chainmail, but I hadn't worked up the courage to draw a billion rings by hand or dick around with photoshop, so I just copypasta'd some scribbles for the meantime.

I'm never happy with any of my art, so I don't post anything publicly to a name. Maybe once I figure out what I'm actually doing.
