sure, but i'm not doing a 1:1 reference. i'm using the bits and parts I'm interested to
I usually start with a general pose taken from /s/ or just google. then hair references, hand references and clothing references.
But the posing phase has become stale lately, the same stupid poses over and over. Then I got for more dynamism. But it's still contrived to its plastic joins, and I'm sometimes looking for exaggerated poses.
