NTA, but I’m currently working on Bridgman. Do you think it would be better to go through the whole book copying straight through from start to finish, and then do the memory pass as a separate pass through the book… or to do a copy and then a memory drawing for each drawing before moving on to the next? Sort of doing the copy and memory phases simultaneously, like you have here:

You’re much further along than me, and this is something I’ve been wondering about. I’m kind of leaning toward doing the copy and memory things simultaneously, since it’s what Finch does in his study streams. But it’s a lot harder and slower than just doing copies. Although having to do the full memory pass afterwards sounds… not fun.

Here, have a Methonium ass study for your troubles

Cute. You the anon who wants to make a comic and possibly one day illustrate children’s books?

Mostly agree. I’d slightly modify this to say that fundies are fundies and you should learn from the teaching style that clicks with you, not necessarily art style. I think that choosing which styles to study comes into play after you learn the fundies. Basically Finch’s roadmap.

>Then learn style

I love Vilppu but he’s rather esoteric. I’d say to do Eviston or Proko’s beg course. Or the first couple lessons of DAB to get a sense of form. Gesture isn’t about ignoring proportion or anatomy. It’s like a minimum viable drawing of a pose. Watch LoveLifeDrawing’s vids on gesture

Great redlines

I like the colors. You’re showing too much of the far side of her mons imo

Yes. Betty Edwards is step 0, but the first couple lessons of DAB can be step 1 if you ignore the autistic rigidity. It’s got good basic exercises for a beg and will get you feeling the form. If you start burning out, switch to something else though, Proko or Eviston are great beg courses. also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vtd6uwNFl9k&list=PLMXbAPr21di-Ox-dmDwL2riWedei1dn9S

Overall great. Torso seems slightly long. Lovely armpits!
>>7013856
Vilppu’s Drawing manual is great at explaining this

NICE

Maybe find a ref for the face? Seems like the proportions are weird.
