CA gets paid by the hour, top levels are insane and you get hired for longer periods.

Hi!
I know it is a bit of a taboo, but since You're kind enough to answer questions, I am going to be the guy:

What kind of money can You expect to get when freelacing? Are You doing illustrations, or concept designs? Could You give some insight into financial side of work? All credible info we have is from Ben Mauro, and he is pretty much top tier, so I don't know.

It depends, whether you want freelance or in-house, and where do you live. Either way skill matters a lot in proper jobs.
Sounds like your best bet would be porn. The weirder fetishes you're willing to depict, the lower the skill level needed, down to almost none if you, say, do mlp diaper inflation scat porn or some insane things like that.
Hentai foundry, furaffinity, those are the major ones. You can make a decent 1st world living if you build a dedicated fanbase (important) and grind art fundamentals for some months.

If you want a "proper" job, then you better start grinding now and never stop for the rest of your life. There is no pic that exemplifies the level needed. Even if you're bad you might get some gig at minor companies but fail to make a living consistently. Pic slightly related, have some unrealistic expectations for a beginner.

Good luck.
