More questions:

1. Is it normal to be zoomed in at like 400% (or even 800%?) while drawing details?

2. Should I consider buying a larger/bigger res monitor/tablet in the future if I ever get good? Currently using some 19-20 inch 1280x1024 monitor with intuos medium, I could see a higher res monitor giving more workspace but for beginners I guess it's not really a priority?

3. I tried to shade an egg for fun & practice, sadly I lost the first one but how does that look like? Shading it was hard, mostly because of brushes so I guess I'll read the manual and test things out later.

4. While drawing boxes, I noticed that my lines look like shit, because of my lack of skill and brush choices. After some experiments, I narrowed my brush choices to those 3 in the pic. Personally I like how 1 is clean and easy to control while 2 is more dynamic but I keep fucking up, 3 is more for sketching but I guess it could be used for lines too? Should I learn how to control 2 (or change it's settings?) or just use 1 since I prefer it? Lines will be pretty flat but does line width matter if I color everything? Am I supposed to even care about my lines that much as a beginner after I'm not chicken scratching and shit?

Also learning things like basic shading is fun, but when I try to practice it it's completely different to how I visioned how it would go and I fuck up and then wonder 20 minutes why I fucked up only to fuck up again. What I learn doesn't translate to what I draw very easily apparently. Or maybe I should get more familiar with how the brushes & other things work asap instead of little by little. Overall I'm having fun, reporting back here after making some progress is a pretty good motivator so far.
