maybe kind of a dumb question but i want to study skin/color.
what would be the best approach?
do i just try to copy as best as i can refrences and then colorpick and see where i was off and try again?
should this second try be another copy or should i do one from imagination but keeping in mind what i did good and what i did wrong the first time?
if so shouldnt i just color pick from( to know how saturated it goes to the shadows, hue shifts, etc. so not directly colorpicking and painting) the start and go directly to do one from imagination but keeping in mind hue shifts, etc?
also, what kind of pictures are best to study this? how can you tell its a good one and not a photshopped?
pic related. what i think it would be a good pic to study
