I'm sick of drawing anime

How do you gain the confidence to draw from reality? I can't do it. I can only draw anime and cartoons because it's so easy and the lines are already defined for me and I can just copy.
When I look at a portrait of a real person, i have absolute no clue where to start and just end up staring at a blank paper for 15 minutes before rage quitting
