the problem too is that im not satisfied at all that i cannot fucking compose a simple figure that muscle memory cannot crutch me out of

Consider his resources. He was poor af, paint was expensive and he probably didn't have access to good teachers. No internet. Probably learned form books.

It's amazing how good people back oin the days were with only scraps to use, while I have several GB of art resources, infographics, books, videos, digital darwing tablet etc and still suck.

Why does trying to draw require so much mental fortitude? I have to withstand harsh criticism from myself and others with no reward at the end. It's really hard.
