I'm not really good for my age, when I was your age I spent my time doin nothing useful. Just started working seriously in my art last year.

I don't really study in a particular method, although I know Loomis methods, I think the teaching side of things in hes books aren't that intuitive. Mostly what made me draw better faces was Proko, and figure was just studying how others artists that I admire did it and put down the landmarks.
My proportions are kinda off sometimes and I rarely spend the time needed in the construction phase, but if doin a full painting I wouldn't be that sloppy.

I think people in /ic/ are too "Algen" minded in the quantity of study time you should be doing, when I think in the reality you should be spending at least the same amount of time applying that knowledge, or even more time than studying. Do the core for 6 months, but after that do more things straight from your head.
