eh I mostly just get annoyed by "technical" criticism that isn't practical or applicable. Like what all the anons including (You) are doing. You doingusses just say a buzzword or alude to le fundamentals and then sprinkle in your personal feelings about things and it's always mostly just in service of talking shit and being insulting. I didn't axe for essays about how I'm gross ITT, I axed for people to literally tell me what to do.

I've been doing underpainting and layering and spearminting with gesso and matte gel and retarder and other "whites" all year. Misused black in year one. Misusing whites in year 2.

I'm fine with mud. My whole painting process is about working from an ever evolving mud schlop. "Muddiness" isn't inherently bad, and it's mostly just lazy digital dorks that take issue with it.

but like nobody here really shows or tells how to actually technically do anything. For every one post that someone actually suggests useable techniques that I can use to improve, there are hundreds of metacritical blog posts like yours that basically just calls me an asshole in a bunch of words.

I do accept this though. This is all about harnessing my avoidant personality/OCD autism anxiety I have about life stuff and channeling it into creating memetrash "art." Like clutter and chaos is actually pretty unsettling to me so like i'm never really comfortable, which keeps me working.
