>No you're not.
Yes I am, I'm Dingleburied.
>Because if you were, this statement makes no sense. You don't know who are the regulars if you're new.
It's obvious who's talking all the time while most of the server barely talks.

Alright, I'm going to break this down into 3 steps:

>1. FIGURE OUT WHY OR EVEN IF YOU WANT TO MAKE COMICS IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Comics involve a lot of drawing for very specific purpose and as such are not the kind of thing you can just bash out in an afternoon when you're in the mood. If you don't actually want to make comics, then turn away now because you're only going to suffer if you try to force yourself. So, trust me on this, you really really are better off staying away from drawing comics if you'd prefer to write books.
>2. READ LOTS OF MANGA with the goal of learning the technical aspects of how they're written (ie what is literally on the page)
You need to understand when to use what kind of shot, when to tell the reader something or let them figure it out themselves. This step is important for guiding yourself so you're not totally lost as to what to do.
and
>3. DRAW A LOT OF COMICS, even if you don't actually finish them (ie ink them and upload them -- though you SHOULD practice finishing them)
Comics are a medium of mileage. You're going to be drawing a loooot, and in order to get to a point where your comics are readable, you're going to need to make a loooot of comics to figure out how to represent complex ideas to a reader in volume. It can be fucking anything. Personally, I recommend drawing porn comics for a number of reasons, but mostly they involve and require a strong understanding of form and anatomy and how to view those from different angles and also that you can post them even if they're shit because people don't give a fuck about quality if it makes them horny. Sit down, write a quick summary of events, then brute force (or use your manga knowledge) your way to portraying those events. Do this over and over until it's natural.
This step is NOT skippable, the first comics you make WILL be trash, it's not the kind of thing you can fluke. Your submission is rife with the kind of beginner errors this advice is aimed at avoiding.

>what are you even doing on this board?
The same thing I've been doing for the past 10 years, saying whatever I want with no consequences. Don't like it? Plenty of other places out there.
