Yeah, but HERE in the west we use the word anime to DENOTE animation that came from Japan.
It doesn't matter that they use the word "anime" for animation in general, that word has a different meaning in the west, and you can't just change it because "It's not the original meaning!".

The other way around works too. Plenty of foreign words have made their way into the Japanese language, and most of them don't mean the same as in their original languages.
For example, "Viking" バイキング means "Buffet" in Japanese.
"Delivery Health" デリバリーヘルス means "Calling a prostitute."
"Cunning" カンニング in English means skillful, sneaky, or something similar, but in Japanese it means "Cheating, Cheapskate"

Every language has it's loanwords, anon, whether you like it or not.
