I'm the one arguing that there's nothing wrong with using grids or canvas transfer. If you want a "looser" aesthetic using a computer program to "draw" that allows you to undo what you've done will probably always be too seductive. That's my experience at least.

And also fuck all you stupid niggers and your faggot rules. "Drawing" on fucking photoshop is somehow kosher but "drawing" on a canvas with grid guidelines somehow isn't.

yeah I definitely really like the one on the right over the one on the left. The one on the right was done with pen on canvas because I was frustrated from working on the one on the left. They're both about the anxiety of hand drawing.

I have been working on utilizing blank canvas and negative space more though.
