For me it used to be
>Draw something
>Looks good
>Flip it/rotate it
>Realize it looks horrible
But now it's like this for me
>Draw something
>Looks horrible and I hate it
>When I flip and rotate it, it doesn't look so bad

explain this shit

It is commonly accepted knowledge that people always exaggerate their success in life. They post only the most flattering selfies to social media. They blog, tweet, and facebook post images from their vacations that make their stay seem luxurious, they humblebrag about their job and show off wealth.

This is commonly accepted knowledge. Why would art progress be any different? It's very obvious 99% of art progression pictures are very flattering and the artist selects a very poor "before" image and selects an "after" image which they poured hours and hours polishing.

Stop falling for peoples stupid attempts to make their lives seem perfect. Stupid fucking FOMO culture.

>see artists who do /int/ level rendering and coloring but have /beg/ tier perspective and anatomy
>think to myself 'i don't want to be like them, i am going to develop perspective and anatomy before i try hard at rendering'
>anatomy and perspective is really hard to learn
>like really hard
>have hundreds of shitty sketches that look like garbage but i could polish them if i just learned a bit of rendering
the temptation to polish my turds is strong...
