well, what are you supposed to look at first? it's a mess. if you turned the two people into silhouettes, they'd be very unclear. the shape of the smoke makes a rather unpleasant negative shape against her hair. also dialogue balloon is place in such a way that it actualy covers up her hand gesture, which is a sign of poor planning. this has nothing to do with the style or character designs, it's just, unironically, lack of fundies.
