/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

why does everyone on /ic/ hate /ic/?
i see so many posts like "this is why ic sucks" or "everyone on this board is shit because of xyz", do something about it then!
if some people put 1/5th of the energy they put into shit posting, degrading other peoples work, and arguing about which artists suck, into making the board better, it could go a long way.
what are some ways we could improve the board?
here are some ideas i had
> more exercise threads
post a specific exercise or study and people post their replies, encourages people to get drawing instead of all the off topic conversation going on
>critique for every image you post
"it looks like shit" is not a critique. if you can't explain in art terms why its not good, maybe you shouldn't be critiquing it.
> non begs, occasionally visit beg and offer critique
one of the biggest complaints i see inside beg is that only beg artists are providing critique, so there is not much growth
