I actually posted this recently in the sketchbook thread. This is my improvement with minimal effort to study fundamentals, not even grinding. This is me skimming Loomis and watching a few proko vids on his Loomis heads (and getting critique on 4chan). I started getting into fundies on the second pic and the third pic is the result.

So really it's up to you how you want to grow and how you want your art to look.

I was gonna post this in the improvement thread that was up last week but I guess it got archived : (
ah I'm a little proud of my improvement and would like to share if that's okay. It makes me motivated to study harder and draw even more.
