Sorry, m8, I just nabbed the first "Women" book from E-Hentai for >>4614640. I probably have enough gallery points to get some of his uvva stuff there, but there aren't any Frank Cho "how-to's" available - just portfolios of his work in book form.

No portraits that I know of, no; the pose books in the OP's megas are meant for figure or gesture studies.

enjoy drawing first. DAB and Robertson's (How to Draw) methods are extremely good for learning draftsmanship but can be boring, confusing, and sometimes downright autistic.

Dobson (Keys to drawing) can be good for learning how to just start sketching simple objects from life.
FZD has a great video w/ an exercise you can try to build confidence

/ic/ in particular advocates a very grind heavy, fundamentals first approach to pay dividends later, but when you're starting out that can be difficult to keep your motivation up for.
Find fun ways to put in mileage sketching or painting, even if it looks bad, and then when you're putting in 3-4 hours a day naturally like that, you'll naturally have a much greater appetite for fundamentals now that you'll both enjoy the process of drawing and are hungry to see your work become a lot better. Like seriously, sometimes im literally hungry as im drawing at like 6 pm without having had lunch or at midnight without having had dinner yet.
