>why cant i get this head right
-the nose looks like its wrapping around the face, (the "shadow" is not defined enough so that's why)
-eyes are a little lop-sided, the right eye is way too hi
-eyebrows where?
-there are no other discernible facial features atm, making it look eerily flat, especially comparison to the robe
-the ear is too small. the ear should always be between the bottom of your eyebrows and reach all the way down to your nose. grab some measuring tape and see for yourself, the ear is always the same size as the space between your nose and the top of your eye.

maybe remove the hairline for now and work on the face as if it were a bald person, and then work out your proportions.

>As a beginner myself, I strongly advice you to just pick up a pencil and paper
fucking bro tier advice mate.

They aren't great, but they are good enough to attempt ppl. Keep practicing them.

You should be shooting for the ability to do pic related, with all basic forms, and with ease. No worries if it takes a while. I can't do it easily yet either, but practicing this will help.

Next time you draw people, don't draw mannequins, try drawing them as boxes, like in the earlier example. It will really help you if you trace boxes over some images first. Not squares (2d), boxes (3d). Studying anatomy will help you a lot also.

The simpler you start the better. Take each step in small chunks. Trying something hard is good, but realize this will take time and sometimes the only crit you will get is to keep practicing.

Good luck
