I just did lol.

On the subject of improving learn to measure and observe. If there is an object that has a ratio of 2:1 in front of you and you record it on paper as 3:1, you can see how the drawing has already fallen apart right? observing visual proportions is critical in drawing well. You wouldn't be able to draw a sphere without understanding and seeing it is equal on all sides. The best thing to do is get a teacher or mentor If you want to improve at a faster rate. Ideally they'll give you the right set of knowledge and tools to understand things on your own. Again having the right knowledge makes things easier. If you try understanding reflected light too early but you don't understand how to separate light from shadow, you're only going to confuse yourself. Start simpler and make sure it is right, then add complexity onto to it. I couldn't paint this sphere for instance without some prerequisites of form and light. If I didn't understand and execute grayscale well the color would be obsolete.
