Thanks for the feedback and empathy.
I don't think I have enough in the way of fundamentals to begin, but maybe I'm too afraid of even starting to begin with. Even Jerry showed how brave he can be with his imagination in the mech challenge.

That's what it takes, right? Keep failing forward, applying whatever you know, relentlessly?

I guess one part of it is that I don't know... how to study? Like, I understand internally that i shouldn't be blindly copying, and to take into account the construction of the figure, how it represents actual form in 3d space, but I find myself depending on contours anyway to create something remotely presentable or proportionally accurate. I guess that's why I gravitated towards Aguri, since it shows me an easy path to developing fundamentals step by step (and the perspective lessons definitely help).
I'd like to think I'm "mindful" when I draw from life, but I honestly don't know if I am doing that.
