Better than nothing as far as I'm concerned. I think the exposed canvas on the eye makes it more interesting and "better" than if I went back with a highlight or just blacked out the glasses entirely.

Like when you look at artists like Mondrian or any of the fucking dudes that just make a big canvas with a red square in the middle or whatever, the reason that shit is seen as "art" of high value is context and backstory behind the artist's decision to do it. Just put a paragraph next to it that has some esplaining to do.

Any kind of art where normies go "a kid could make that" is going to be pretentious circlejerk of justification for why a person would launder their money through a painting of some lines or whatever.

Art is an unending argument about the relative value of nonfunctional trash. I'm maybe more interested in conveying a feeling or impulse than a thesis on the theory of everything.

Like Top Cruise was an attempt to catch what a manic episode is like from my experience. Plenty of bullshit ways I can justify the blank eyes as being relevant to how you become more impulsive and thoughtless and unable to stay focused or objective whatever. Used the same blues that had been used with >>3574479, which to me is more of a mixed mania meme, versus >>3589301 which is about depression and anxiety and regret and everything.

Like when I say I paint memes I don't just mean goofball internet jokes. I'm talking about actual memetic symbolism and stuff. All of them are chosen for what they mean to me and how they're connected to the greater gestalt. And the order they're done in relevant kind of too. It's a prolonged "conversation" with myself.
