Did this amazing piece for my birthday invitation in 1999. I was turning ten. Shit was SO cash...

Fundamentals of perspective, anatomy, design and blah blah blah... All that basic shit. I personally also recommend picking up a tiny bit of 3D sculpting and rendering just so you get to see how stuff like AO, SSS and a "camera" work in a more controlled environment.

At the very beginning I think you should just be focusing on drawing. Just draw what you like from reference and try to have fun with it! Keep it simple and don't worry about equipment. It's easy to get lost in all that technical crap and feel like you're not getting anywhere. Gotta try to have fun every once in a while but set some clear goals with clear notes on how to get to them.

Good artist for what? How good do you want to be? What do you want to do? I'm pretty good but I'm still unemployed/short/balding/broke but I'm not giving up.

This was the first ever. A birthday invitation from 1999 (I removed the text).
