While I said I wouldn't be doing self portraits until I learned how to place better lines, it was basically the entire lesson in art class today. So I did a few of these 10 minute ones, this one I took some extra time to get the facial likeness down. The eye is further apart than in real life obviously, but that was because I was overcompensating for normally placing them too close. I'm still figuring out how to be reflexive/instinctive about facial proportions.

I don't understand necks at all. I feel embarrassed for drawing a curved line down and treating the neck like a cylinder. Anyone have a resource for the neck/upper chest area? I've done some studies of that area from photoreference but I simply cannot understand the form at all
