Can someone point out where I’m going wrong with the lighting and potential ways to get a better grasp of light hitting a complex form?

Also my anatomy is dodgy as fuck. Any opinions on approaches to improve it? Should I start by learning the bones and then muscles?

And what kind of drawing makes a female’s body soft and lithe not muscular and defined like a man’s?
