I think you might like akira and cryberpunk mangas like battle angel alita, appleseed, etc

They go for gritty not super slick which is the best kind of cyberpunk imo.

In your pic I think you can organize the lights and darks better and stop the scribbling. Slow down. You may be confusing scribbling with lively or spontaneous but what's important is that you be in control the whole time. It looks like you lost control of what you were doing all over your sketch and you just didn't have a solid idea of what you were doing. That's what makes it look somewhat half-assed. I like the esthetic but I think it could be WAY more refined
