I havent really done hatching too much before, to me the result looks less readable in some spots than the original but it's probably cause i fucked it up somewhere. i wanted to do contour hatching but i just stuck with this instead cause it was easier.
i'm happy enough with it though. it reminded me of akihiko yoshida's older work (specifically in tactics ogre and ff tactics). it's really gorgeous and the reason i started drawing initially was to emulate his style. i do want to get better with hatching instead of working with values as a painter would.
