Anyone else here learning Japanese to become a mangaka in Japan?

I'm getting pretty discouraged at the workload, at how much you need to draw, how much you need to learn to write, how much immersion and anki cards you need for Japanese, for how I might never have a native Japanese accent, on how an editor might be biased against a foreign artist, at how I might not understand Japanese culture enough for my stories to be popular. This might be the stupidest dream ever, but it's my only dream, and it's the only thing giving my life meaning, and I'm afraid it's just pure delusion.

Is there a possibility for an American to make a living with manga-style comics in America? Should I just give up on making it in Japan?

Anyone else feel disgusted by Kill La Kill? I can't get past the first episode. Why is anime so weird?
