the realization that failure is a bad thing. Its not a good thing, or an okay thing. its not something part of the process for innovators to be innovative, its not something that teaches you anything. Failure is of no benefit to you at all, it is nothing more than just a bad thing.

This philosophical realization, got me to start trying to avoid doing things that usually tended to fail. By very consciously noticing if I'm doing something that usually doesn't work, I catch myself, STOP, REDIRECT, and do anything else, especially something that I find usually works. I noticeably and immediately performed much better, made progress where there previously was very little. I saw it turn bad situations into good situations.
