That's more of an issue with artists that only seek to create commercially viable product appealing to the lowest common denominator for social media relevance.

Their goals are getting followers to earn money so they don't have to get a real job.
Improving is just a means to be able to appeal to potential consumers to get more money and followers.

Porn is what always sells and has infinite demand, so naturally, everyone wants to do porn as a career since it's very easy to get yourself into and consumers can't stop consuming it.

Well, there is also the issue with the general audience expecting a specific style or "pseudo-quality" to any artwork.
You can find depth in not so technically perfect hyperrealistic painting, but the audience wants that and it doesn't matter if it's just shallow, trope based garbage.
And it's even better if they do actually rip off popular works.
Consumers want to always consume the exact
same thing, just in a slight different flavor that turn out to have the same flavor as the thing it is ripping off.

Basically, artists pander to consumers too much because it works.
And as long as there are people earning 10k a month from drawing anime titties, it will only attract more artists and kids trying to do the same.
