Like the other anon said - establish proportions and angles first. Gesture drawing will teach you to get that down fast.

Housekeeping: I know shit about anatomy, but I like looking for cool shapes and simplifying/designing stuff.
That being said: red lines on your drawing show the nice looking curves from the ref you could have exaggerated. Instead, you did the opposite and toned them down, making the figure look boring. General proportions can be compared by overlapping images so I wont bother criticizing. Head is an egg.
Red lines on the ref show the kind of stuff I put on my top priority list while drawing from reference.

Try again anon. Ugly creations can be discouraging, but the probability to get it better the next time is too big not to do it. I had to draw the girl 4 times before I liked what I saw.
