how do i sketch like this? i just dont know the process. sketch and then one layer coloring? starting directly with shapes of color? i usually paint by doing a base color under the sketch and then flattening them to do light and shadows but that's for full pieces. i feel so stupid

great taste anon. for corto maltese do inking studies from real life or photos imitating that style. for spirou and tintin keep copying them and then applying their proportions elsewhere. study how they stylize by copying and then doing original pieces with what you learnt
