This. I’m don’t know why people are arguing against this. Boring same-ness is not beauty.

I think the main issue these boring sameface artists suffer from is either focusing on the face too much or too little, meaning that they’ve spent so much time on the face that they lose meaning in the overall piece (ie overpainting) or they neglect the face and focus on everything else in a non-meaningful way.

I’m probably just pulling it out of my ass idk but I feel nothing while looking at these paintings. It’s just plain drab.
