it's not just about the quantity of your want, but the quality as well. you may want something very intensely but think it impossible to achieve, for instance; in other words, a futile passion. you, though - and correct me if I'm wrong - don't seem completely hopeless. so perhaps it simply is a matter of the degree of your desire.

there are people better than I to make an educated guess, but I would guess that it depends on the person. there are some people who feel drained in the current hum-drum of their life and would greatly benefit from a hobby that brings them joy. but depending on your specific state, maturity, etc., you could exacerbate your negative emotions when you try to draw and end up hating everything you create. the only way to figure out the answer to your question is to try it out yourself.
