I've been going hard at the fundamentals and learning how to draw realistically but what I actually want to do down the line is draw cartoons (in the style of Cartoon Network and the like) so sometimes I take a break to draw some cartoons and judge if my fundamentals are improving my cartoon work. And I think they have. I thought I was getting memed but you really do start looking at things like form and shape and the way you put marks on a parper, differently (for lack of a better word).
