Absolute newfag here. I'm still stuck in the "forms and shapes" part where I try to use shading to create the illusion of 3D. I just can't do it. I know that the idea is that you need to imagine a fixed point where the light comes from, and you need to imagine a sort of "wire" going accross the figure to show its dimensions but I can't do it.

Is there anything I could do/use to improve my understanding of this? Any videos that explain it in depth and not "just use shades bro! Just imagine a wire going across it bro!"? Or maybe some exercises I should do?

Eh, I feel like this is too advanced for me. Making it look 3D without shading? I get anxious just thinking about it.
