I was under the impression there were roughly equal amounts of weebs and dudes who hate anime, leaving everyone else who don't mind either way. American comics have good points but creativity is being hampered by failing industry, needing to fit into clusterfuck superhero multiverse, and artists being cogs in a machine. Bande dessinée (french/belgian comics) have always been good and are trucking along. Pic is from french comic The Technopriests
