Charming design. I agree with anon, he does read more like a gecko. Maybe making him more "ugly-cute" could help to reinforce his frog like qualities? Wider face, or eyes noticeably further apart, for example.

Neat shading, I like the exaggeration too. Although I wish you gave her a wee bit more muscle definition in her legs like her upper body. She sort of looks like she's wearing pants lol
