Stupid questions thread/Questions that don't deserve their own thread

>be human xerox machine
>find ic, learn people actually draw things that haven't been drawn, using references to create something new and sometimes drawing from imagination
>start learning figure drawing
>get kinda good at it
>never get the desire to use this skill to draw something other than the figure itself or try drawing from imagination
>don't even try stylizing them
>do this for months
>still no desire to do something else
is this normal?

>take longer break from drawing
>realize i was always follwing formulas
>realize that i was too afraid to experiment
>realize that i am still afraid to fail
>realize i will never truely improve if i continue like this

how can i get rid of this mental blockade and start thinking outside the box?
