I'm just trying to think ahead to when 2d digital painting stuff is just completely dead in a few years - maybe internet artists will all have to shift toward the creation of sinple fluid animation over highly rendered single images? The inherent storytelling aspect of animation seems a lot harder for people to just desire to do away with, as well
